Revision and Feedback Techniques and Tools:
Revising allows time for the composing process to work. In addition to informal writing to start the process, students need enough time to write several drafts before the final paper is due. Students can share some of these drafts with each other-to give both readers and writers a sense of each others ideas and capabilities. Professors can give feedback in different ways: a short conference with each writer in the draft stage, written comments before the final draft, class discussion of models, classroom response, mini-exercises, and editing workshops.
