G-PACT News and Happenings
Fall 2003
On December 2, 2003, we will have a presentation by Michael McSpedon and Alfred D'Onofrio of Reuters on how students and faculty can use MoneyLine.

Spring 2002

We have a new course offering in Lubin that will use Reuters/Telerate software, as well as StockVal, two software programs that are available in the G-PACT Lab.  The course focuses on stock picking using fundamental analysis.  Students will choose stocks and construct a Student Managed Investment Portfolio (SMIP) using more than $100,000 provided by the Lubin School for this purpose.  Click here for more details.

Fall 2002

Paul Magahis, who works with the hedge fund, Merlin BioMed Group, specializing in the BioMed industry will speak on the topic "How to break into the Hedge Fund industry" on October 17 in Room W512 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Our Student Managed Investment Portfolio class continues this term.  Last term, we beat our benchmark portfolio, the S&P 500; this term, we hope to do even better.
