About The Author

Currently a sophomore at Pace University in New York City, Regina Gennari is double majoring in History and Gender Studies. After graduation, she plans to attend law school in order to become a civil rights attorney. Her love for law was first realized when she led Tottenville High School's mock trial team to the New York State Bar Association state championship in 2004. In a case about a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Regina assumed the role of head attorney and found it one of the most enriching experiences of her academic career.

In her first year at Pace University, Regina served as Treasurer of the Stonewall Coalition, a student organization working to create a safer campus for all regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Still a member of the Executive Board, she now serves as Director of Programming and coordinates all of the Coalition's events.

Regina has many interests, some of which include playing basketball, watching movies, working out and traveling. She loves music, and some of her favorite artists are Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, Mos Def, Kanye West, Jay-Z and Fiona Apple.
