Biography:
Mr. Colin Murray, LLB (hons.) Dunelm, Mjur Dunelm.
After graduating from Durham Law School (Durham University, United Kingdom), Colin researched the late 19th and early 20th century national security jurisprudence of the United Kingdom’s courts under the supervision of Professor Ian Leigh.
Upon completing his Master of Jurisprudence degree, Colin took up a lectureship with Newcastle Law School (Newcastle University, United Kingdom), where he is presently Director of the Human Rights Research Group.
His current research is focused in the fields of National Security Law, Legal History and Public Law. Ongoing projects examine the relationship between the law of Treason and other historic political offences and the United Kingdom’s 21st century counter-terrorism legislation.
