How to Register to Vote




To Register you Must

  • be a U.S, citizen
  • be a resident of the city, town, or county you wish to vote in at least 30 days before an election
  • be 18 years old
  • not be in jail or on parole for a felony conviction
  • not currently judged incompetent by order of the court of competent judicial authority
  • give up the right to vote in any other country
  • may be required to provide a photocopy of identification


    When you can Vote

  • If you turn 18 by December 31st of the year that you file your registration form and by the date of the general, primary or any other elections you would want to participate in
  • You must mail or deliver your registration form to your county board of election no later then 25 days before the election you wish to participate in.


    Where Can you Register to Vote

  • You can fill out a registration form on any of the given websites or you can search for a different site
  • You can register in person at your county board of elections in any business day, except election day
  • You can get registration forms at most agency offices and post offices or at any county board of elections
