October 7, 13: Research Report Writing

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

In this session, experienced analysts will discuss the critical components of an equity research report –from the buy-side and sell-side perspectives. Examples will be taken from existing reports, and the template for the Investment Research Challenge will be discussed. The interactive format will focus on student questions, and is ideal both for those students interested in the NYSSA Challenge as well as those preparing reports for recruiting purposes.

September 22: Internet Research: The Ultimate Securities Analyst Tool

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

 

Due to the "Fair Disclosure" SEC regulation, the playing field between individual and institutional investors has been leveled, placing original research at a premium. A wealth of information can be found on the Internet - sometimes to the point of information overload. How do you get to the essential information you need? You will be shown what to look for and where to find it, without wasting valuable time. In this practical course, you will be taken through content on specific sites and leave with a resource list you can use immediately.
