Program Description: Most firms now require candidates to bring a research report with them on interviews. How do you produce a concise, professional report that will impress prospective employers? More importantly, what skills will you need in order to succeed as a professional analyst? In this session, experienced analysts will discuss the critical components of an equity research report—from the buy-side and sell-side perspectives. Examples will be taken from existing reports, and the template for the Investment Research Challenge will be discussed. The interactive format will focus on student questions, and is ideal both for those students interested in the NYSSA Challenge as well as those preparing reports for recruiting purposes. October
