Brief Introduction

New York is the greatest city in the world. The main attraction that many people forget about is the history of our bridges. Our iconic bridges such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Verazzano-Narrows Bridge, Queensboro bridge, and the George Washington Bridge.

Our bridges has a significant impact in society. They made transportation easier for people so they can travel from different places in shorter distances without going the long way.

History of The Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge was built by John Roebling. A German-American civil engineer was famousley known for building rope suspension bridges. His famous work was the Brooklyn Bridge which has been designated as a National Historic and Engineering Landmark.

The Brooklyn Bridge has now opened, this was a major turnaround in New York. To go from Brooklyn to Manhattan made it so much easier that it made people's commute much shorter.

The George Washington Bridge is the main bridge that many people travel through to go from north to south, vice-versa. This bridge spans from New York to New Jersey.
