About Us
Quake USA Cultural Organization is the Brooklyn-based embodiment of a dream started years ago by Spice Island Youthquake (SIY) in Grenada. Members of SIY migrated and formed the group out of nostalgia for the togetherness they had found and in an effort to spread Caribbean Love and Culture through music, song and dance. Today decades later, the mission remains the same, and though the membership has expanded in number and origin, Quake USA Cultural Organization a registered Non-For-Profit entity, continues to touch to lives of many in the Brooklyn community and surrounding areas. Activities include participation in Caribbean celebrations: from Celebratory masses and services, to concerts, to weddings, to birthday parties, to formal dinners and dances. Our members are an interesting mix of singers, musicians, dancers, poets and actors who together form not just a group but a family. With a versatile repertoire and a genuine love for God, Grenada and the Caribbean in general, Quake USA Cultural Organization turns out whether in small numbers or full fledged quota to add that necessary bit of spice to the event.
